Details of this scene… The concept was to create a surreal environment that captured the dreamy and romantic feel of an intimate autumn wedding…The glass “chapel” was constructed on-site in the middle of an overgrown meadow at a sprawling nature preserve in Pound Ridge, NY by noted prop stylist Daryl McGregor, using colored glass and antique windows and doors. The images were captured by famed photographer Boo George, who’s keen eye helped translate the dreamy, golden environment, and the spirit of wanderlust and warmth evoked by model Jenna Earle.

Stylists Ann + Amy also did a little trend forecasting and shared three major trends coming off the bridal market. One of the biggest shifts is that it no longer has to be white. Ivory, champagne, blush, metallics—they’re all fair game for a lovely wedding gown. The flower obsession is picking up speed too, with floral print maxis for ‘maids and mom, as well as opting for something totally unexpected like a jumpsuit or romper in lieu of a dress. We very much approve!

This look. Le sigh. The Cinzia jacket is too pretty.

As for trends that have been fading as of late? That all-over matchy-matchy look—even with metallics. As you can see, mixed metals and mix ‘n match bridesmaids give you even more freedom to be creative with your dress and decor.

The headpiece is the Primrose Ornament.

Why yes, there IS more to see…
And the best piece of advice we got from BHLDN on choosing the bridal ensemble: Your dress doesn’t have to bring you to tears to be the one!
