If you haven’t laid eyes on this scene before, we know what you’re thinking: How have I not heard of this place? And that’s just based on the first of Scott Clark’s images. It’s probably because the already stunning historic venue (built in 1924) Ebell of Long Beach, was just reimagined by Alan Dunn (of Carondelet House + Très LA) into what it is today—a furnished 25,000 square foot space brimming with history, elegance and luxury.
They hooked up with At Your Door Events to throw a re-launch party for the venue to celebrate and share all it has to offer for events right here in Southern California.
(Do we need to mention the light streaming through that window? You noticed? Okay.)
Rooms include a sky-lit courtyard, a furnished library room, grand ballroom, commercial catering kitchen, and a large private quest suite, all which are included in the rental. The space is massive—it can accommodate up to 300 guests—but with the way it’s laid out, the different areas feel private an intimate, making it one of the most functional event spaces in the region. That exposed white brick gets us!
Annnnd we’re hungry already.
A little more about the design. When reimagining a space already complete with so many historic architectural details, they wanted the furnishings to complement the old world feel yet bring modern for today’s events.
