Guys, this cheerful elopement is going to brighten your morning right up. Cheryl + Ian’s day was filled with charming moments in front of vibrant backdrops that Jasmine of Let’s Frolic Together scooped up at every turn. They said I Do at the stunning Santa Barbara Courthouse and headed over to The Outpost at The Goodland Hotel to cap off the evening with dinner + drinks—exactly what they had in mind for their day. Let’s just say we’re pretty satisfied with ourselves for scheduling this one right before the weekend.
Cheryl says, The Rotunda Lawn at the Santa Barbara Courthouse is simply beautiful—literally, it is both simple and beautiful. Because we knew that we wanted a space that felt private, but also available with a couple of weeks notice, we knew this was the space as soon as we laid eyes on the Spanish missionary architecture and expansive grassy areas. My most memorable moment was exchanging vows. Ian is a writer, so he wrote our vows and they were perfect. The last line was “I love you and I like you.”
Shortly after they began planning for a fall wedding, they learned that Ian needed surgery, which took six months off their timeline. Clearly they made the most of it…
Let’s Frolic Together explains, This gorgeous pair explored the Spanish arches, grand hallways, and garden nooks throughout the Santa Barbara courthouse where they exchanged vows in front of their twelve nearest and dearest. After cheers, laughter, and plenty of smiles, the party picked back up at The Goodland Hotel, where they dined informally on the patio with cocktails flowing freely and a feisty game of cornhole became an epic challenge. It was a dreamy, happy day, with a low-key vibe and oh so much tender. One of our all-time favorite elopements, hands-down!See more from their day in the gallery below:
