Did you get a chance to peek at our first 100 Layer Cake best-of post for 2015? (You’ll probably want to log into Pinterest before perusing our top bouquets of 2015.) When it came to wedding cakes this year, it was so tough to choose that we ended up adding in a little gallery at the end with a few more faves. So many creative cakes came through our inboxes, many of which were classically three-tiered, but trust us, far from traditional. This chic nautical cake is just the beginning…
Donut cake. Yes, please. We saw a lot of hand-lettering on cakes this year and couldn’t be more impressed.
And an emerald green cake to inspire you for days.
2015 was the year for the color Marsala, and we saw our fair share of this color showing up in gorgeous weddings.
A chalkboard cake? Mmm-hmm.Love the fig and leafy accents in this cake.
We saw our share of geometric elements in weddings too.
And while we’re used to seeing naked cakes (they were some of our faves ever in 2014), we never could’ve imagined they’d end up this incredible. See the rest in the gallery below:
It’ll be hard for cake designers to top this year, but we’ve got a strange feeling they will.
