Evangeline + Evan are wedding photographers (remember this intimate sunrise engagement session?) so when it came time to pop the question, inviting her on one of their fave LA hikes to shoot at sunset wasn’t the least bit suspicious. He set up the tripod and let the camera do the rest…
LA sunsets really are the best. We can attest.
Always, always make sure to get a few celebratory photos in…
And their love story…
Evan and I fell in love four years ago through epic saga-like emails that were our 21st century version of 18th century love letters. Every morning I would wake up anxious and excited wondering, will he email today? What will he say? He lived in Vermont and I in Boston at the time. Our first phone conversation lasted four hours, our second lasted twelve. He’s a fellow artist so it was only a matter of time before he started second shooting for me and now it’s a privilege to have him by my side at most weddings. Some of my favorite moments with him happen when I look up and see him peeking up at me from behind his camera. My heart still skips a beat.
He proposed to me on one of our favorite hikes in Los Angeles right at sunset. He told me we were going up there to practice shooting and set up the tripod in the distance. Within moments he was down on bended knee asking me to be his partner and by his side forever. It was perfectly us.
We should celebrate more Fridays with proposal stories, huh?
Congratulations guys!
