It’s officially shower season, Cakies! Which means a perfect opportunity for two things… 1) hosting a gorgeous backyard party to celebrate a lady (or couple) of honor, AND 2) this is an ideal time to put the finishing touches on your Gift Registry so your guests have a nice range of choices when it comes time to select your shower pressie. We’ve partnered with our friends at Crate and Barrel to create this classic garden shower for not just the bride, but her hubs-to-be as well. ‘Cause we’re totally down with any trends that incorporate both parties into the celebrations leading up to the wedding.
First key to a gorgeous garden shower… naturally a beautifully set table that mixes feminine and masculine details. Let’s be honest, the shower is going to skew a teensy bit on the girly side when there’s a bride involved, but you can still add in pieces, like wooden accents, bronze candle holders, bolder colors (like this Indigo Linden Tablecloth), and of course a stocked whiskey bar, to make the Mister feel at home too. And note, when you’re creating your Gift Registry, the same principal applies!
Lovely, modern wine glasses for her. Stylish, matching double old-fashioned glasses for him. The Tour Glassware Collection is one of our very faves, and you can probably see why. So elegant and cool.
Um, yes please to these bright colors and beautiful blooms!
Should we talk place settings? We can always get behind a mix and match set. Classic white, mixed with texture and color makes such a fun statement for any party. Start with a full set of the Mercer Dinnerware Collection (so pretty and organic), and then add a set of these Ito Salad Plates for nights when you feel like introducing an element of whimsy to your table. And gold flatware is always a good idea, obvi.
Love how simple serving pieces, like this two-tone marble cheeseboard, can double as elegant styling pieces for throwing your own parties. The key to a great Instagram moment is props, after all!
Mixing metals is definitely 100LC approved. The gorgeous Keaton serving bowl looks lovely on your countertop and also smashing with a colorful salad. And from experience we recommend adding at least three large serving bowls to your Gift Registry. Always good to have choices!
Even just one simple detail (like these laser cut wood place cards) add such a thoughtful touch to an intimate party or shower. And they make a pretty keepsake after the festivities are over.
We played up the “his and hers” shower concept with signature drinks for the ladies and gents. Whiskey for him, and Rosé for her!
Aren’t these two just soooo adorable? They are readers who are getting married this summer. Big congrats Stephanie and Scott.
