Did you catch our Malibu wedding inspiration today? We’re on a roll with the dreamy venues this morn. For their vintage editorial, Ashley Cox Photography + Cody of Amore Events teamed up at the historic Salubria in Virginia, which was built in the 1750s and beautifully preserved. The romantic florals and classic cake are some of our fave details too.
Cody’s inspiration was pulled from women in art. Some artists that inspired this idea were the french painters William Bouguereau, Vincenzo Irolli, and Gustave Jean Jacquet. We studied some of their work emphasizing the elegance of a woman’s natural beauty through her body and her presence, and we fell in love with how women were depicted in such a timeless, elegant way. We tried to incorporate this in every detail of our shoot: from the magical setting, to the way we intentionally placed each flower, to the thoughtful posing, rich colors and moody lighting.
Perfect for a classic wedding, no?
Amore Events was also behind those sultry bouquets. See more in the gallery:Thanks to everyone below for sharing today…
