Cakies, we have such a treat for you today. We get to show off Modcloth’s bridal collection! Didn’t know they had wedding dresses? You’ll flip when you see that not only do they have a ton of gown options (just wait…), they’re all super versatile and at a fab price point too. We hooked up with Mary Costa Photography, outfitted one of 100LC’s very own team members (hi, Angela!) and took to the streets of Venice, CA to show you a few dresses, shoes, and accessories IRL.
Okay, so this first dress? It’s the Gilded Grace Dress in Champagne. Seeing it on the hanger, we knew it would be pretty great, but seeing it on was really something else. One of our fave things is JUST how good it looks on *any* body type. Like all ModCloth pieces, you can actually see user photos on their website (or on Insta by searching #marriedinmodcloth) which takes basically all uncertainty out of buying online. It’s so nice to see dresses in action, isn’t it?
Fiore Beauty whipped up all the pretty hair + makeup looks, BTW. They nailed it as always.Nothing more fun than giving a brand new bridal gown a twirl, most especially if you’re used to editing copy! The aptly named All-Singing, All-Prancing Heel in Pink is the perfect heel for the girl that doesn’t sport ’em too often too, as it’s 3″ and super comfy.
Isn’t this bouquet by Running Wild Florals magic?
Guys. This dress, Right Here, Right Wow. It’s the real deal! Such a stunner in person, with the ivory lining and lace overly. You won’t find anything like it for under $500, that’s for sure!
The back and sleeve detail on the Perennial Poise Dress was an instant fave too.
We have a weakness for floral crowns in the springtime, but can see a bride wanting to show off the intricate patterns with an updo too.
For a pop of color (spring and summer brides, listen up!) the Little Bit of Glitz Belt in Mint is all ya need. One of the things we love most about their line is that all the dresses + accessories are so affordable. Not only is it great for couples on a budget, but it also leaves more room for fun extras. Since almost all dresses are under $300 (!!!), the bride has way more room to accessorize and even scoop up two. A long, romantic gown for the ceremony and something like the tulle dress below for the reception perhaps? Just thinking out loud here…
PS. Our girl is a whopping 5’0, so ya know, the length of this dress really would work across the board. And again, with this being $175, alterations would be easy peasy.
While most dresses were honestly just so so pretty simply paired with cute heels (the ones above have the loveliest floral print), we loved the whole statement necklace + sweetheart neckline combo below, featuring the Vow to Wow Necklace in Magenta.
ModCloth is chockfull of bridal accessories like these, bridesmaid dresses, and even wedding gifts and decor. Peruse the rest of the photos from our little shoot in our gallery:
Thanks to Mary Costa Photography and everyone who joined us in trying out these dresses! Head over to ModCloth for the full wedding line and don’t forget to tag #marriedinmodcloth if you say I Do in one of their pieces. Can’t wait to see how they look!
