Cakies, your new fave wedding theme: Morocco meets Malibu. Think deep reds and golds, wedding blankets, and tradition, plus bright pops of color and of course, that coastline. A trip to Marrakech inspired Sharon of Knot Just Flowers to merge a bit of Moroccan culture with some boho vibes deep in the hills of Malibu. Pretty unique idea, huh? Thanks to Steven Leyva Photography for sharing the dreamy golden hour photos!
She designed the bridal bouquet to pop against the Amsale gown and paired it with a subtle bouquet to contrast with her bridesmaid’s marsala Jenny Yoo dress.
Incorporating brass elements along with beautiful Moroccan wedding blankets sourced on our trip, we created an intimate tablescape with lush florals in soft hues of peach, buttercream, and hints of blue. Our table was set using vintage glassware, plates, and flatware by Otis & Pearl. We envisioned an organic setting and these vintage bohemian chairs and table were a perfect compliment. Jenny of Blushing Beauty gave our models a romantic yet bold look, pairing soft pink lips with darker moody eyes and gorgeous loose beauty waves for the hair.
They incorporated some traditions like sharing tea rather than a champagne toast, which symbolizes being welcomed into the family and starting a new life together.
One ocean inspired watercolor cake, FTW. Props to Frost It Cakery on this beaut. See more below!
