Morning! The creativity of others always lifts us up and the fact that so many people work to make milestones meaningful and uniquely special for those celebrating is exactly why we are so grateful to share inspiration like this editorial Erin of Nectar & Root sent our way with you. Working with photog Kelly of 822 Weddings, they styled up a mix of modern and vintage, classic and daring.
Gasp, this bouquet. So expertly crafted, Nectar & Root.
Erin says, Kelly from 822 Weddings and myself have wanted to work with Molly of Rackk & Ruin for some time now, and this shoot was a great opportunity for us to do something creative together that felt non-bridal specific yet still inspiring and applicable to the modern wedding approach. We wanted to combine our skills with other local vendors to showcase the talent that can be found here in our destination-based wedding state.
Our eclectic collaboration in the Vermont countryside of Shelburne Farms featured a palette inspired by old world brocade: dusty mauve, chartreuse green, rust, black and powder blue against a backdrop of sandstone and wood. My floral designs were reflective of Rackk + Ruin’s diverse display of styles for our model Clare’s jewelry and clothing; old world, modern, classic and daring. I incorporated garden roses, rambling jasmine vine, grasses, poppies, delphinium and velvet ribbon.
