If you love color, you’ll be enamored with the concept behind this wedding Leah of Color Pop Events and Taylor & Hov dreamt up for us today: A juxtaposition of colors, textures, and shapes all came together with neo-pop and modern art inspired elements for their real couple, Sabine + Madin, who do amazing work in the LGBTQ community here in Los Angeles and beyond (see ProjectQ + A Tribe Called Queer for more deets). They flew out to Brooklyn to bring this vignette to life at the coveted Green Building NYC. Thanks to Mikkel Paige Photography for the vibrant photos below!
Madin’s two looks included leather suspenders + a colorful bowtie and Neo-Pop inspired cufflinks, and silver pants + a black evening shirt for the reception.
These. Invites. Are. Incredible. Major props to Taylor & Hov Events + Design on this whole scene.
Sabine wore a silky white cowl-back gown for the ceremony and swapped it for a pop of red for the reception (see our gallery for a closer peek!).
The team tells us, The industrial dinner table’s white top was purposeful, allowing the art pieces to shine—whether literally, as red laser-cut mirrored dogs served as escort card bases or, subtly, as coloring book paper served as a table runner. Paintbrush stroked dinner plates in color popping hues were a true focal point of the table that tied the colors of the beautiful blossoms in a grand floral centerpiece in with the art. Colorful blue cocktails sealed the deal for a truly tasteful and inspirited evening.
“Love is Love” drink stirrers by California Lustre made the sweetest accents.
And guests could color in the Jeff Koons coloring book backdrop for the art inspired cake.
Alternating green grass square patches checker-boarded with circular silver mylar balloons were placed behind the couple as they exchanged black and white diamond rings during their vow exchange. The balloons cascaded off the edges of the rectangular pieces, keeping things polished yet playful… Sabine’s bridal bouquet was full of textures and warm colors, including green eucalyptus, peach sweet peas, orange and yellow oncidium orchids, light pink garden roses and a beautiful chrysanthemum amongst many other show-stopping flowers.

Blown away is probably an understatement here, huh?! Be sure to check out Madin + Sabine’s work with ProjectQ + A Tribe Called Queer, and thanks to this beautiful couple and the talented crew below for sharing today!
