Happy Friday, friends! Did you all check out our post on how to properly set and style a tablescape yesterday? So helpful. Today we’ve got another amazing wedding planning resource for you, by way of these hot new venue openings. Every year, our pals at The Venue Report gather a mega list of the world’s hottest new openings in venues, hotels, restaurants, and more. And OMG, how cool is it to see our own LA space, Festoon, on the list?! Here are a few more of our personal faves from their selection of new venues:
Festoon | Los Angeles, CA
Owned by the talented ladies of wedding site 100 Layer Cake and designed by Sarah Sherman Samuel, this LA studio and venue is ideal for photo shoots, pop-ups, workshops, and gatherings of up to 70 guests. A rental of the space includes a kitchen that we would like to replicate in our own homes. Also good for: cooking classes, bridal showers or baby showers, surprise parties, birthdays. Double R Ranch | Calistoga, California
Tucked away in the heart of Napa’s wine country, this private estate in Calistoga is set on acres of olive trees and old oaks. In the heart of it all sits a modern white party barn and a darling little farmhouse with a pool. Good for: a California wine country wedding, exclusive events of up to 250 guests, corporate and social gatherings, fundraisers. (Photo: Jen Philips)
The Sablewood | Schoharie, New York
This lovingly restored circa 1870 barn is surrounded by eighty acres of serene mountain vistas, the centuries-old oak tree and lush fields. This working family farm is a short 35 minute escape from Albany and under 3 hours from NYC or Boston. Good for: weddings with an oh-we-just-stumbled-upon-this-countryside-barn feel. The Barn at Avington | Hampshire, England
A working farm, complete with roaming horses, sets the scene for this Hampshire wedding venue. The barn itself has a polished, modern feel and the property lends well to outdoor ceremonies and glamping right on-site. Good for: weekend-long weddings and events. (Photo: Angela Ward Brown)
The Emerson | Kaufman, Texas
We didn’t know we needed a new all-white venue to obsess over until we saw The Emerson, just outside of Dallas-Fort Worth on 10 acres of land. Home to a restored all-white chapel designed by HGTV’s Leanne Ford (you may have also spotted her new lighting collaboration with Target) and separate bride and groom quarters, The Emerson is truly a one-stop-shop. Good for: weddings, corporate and special events up to 200 people that steer away from traditional and embrace classic style with bold design. (Photo: Jeff Brummett Visuals)
The Bindery Event Space | McMinnville, Oregon
Set in the heart of Oregon wine country, this newly restored venue space is a part of the historic News-Register buildings. This cozy industrial space is rooted in new design trends while maintaining a historic and timeless appeal. Good for: modern weddings with tables and chairs for up to 150 guests, photo shoots that require an hourly rental, corporate and private parties for 4 or 10-hour bookings. (Photo: The Pair Visuals)
This Must Be The Place / Mas Casamitjana | Barcelona, Spain
It’s all about the options at this Catalonia Hills manse. Here, you can celebrate your wedding in a pair of beautifully restored stone barns, throw a dance party in an enclosed courtyard, exchange love notes on a flower-draped balcony, gaze at the Pyrenees while noshing on hand-tossed pizzas and more. Good for: showing your friends and family Spain’s glamorous side while feeling tucked away in the hills. This Must Be The Place is located just outside Barcelona, sleeps up to 15 guests and can host a wedding, event or celebration with up to 150 guests. (Photo: Chus Sánchez)
