Celina and Evan love nature, dancing, and cats, and they found ways to incorporate those personal details all throughout their wedding at The Greenhouse at Driftwood in Austin. Their soft color palette was inspired by a New Mexico sunset (a nod to a favorite trip of theirs), they danced the night away under a smattering of disco balls, and yep—their signature cocktails were named after their furry friends. From mismatched bridesmaids in blush to gorgeous greenhouse portraits, their celebration was at once romantic and laidback, elegant yet understated, and totally something their 180 guests were guaranteed to love. Thanks to Map & Compass Photography and Silver Thistle Weddings for sending it our way!
A soft sunset inspired color palette: mauve, dusty rose, blush, and dusty blue.
Celina’s dusty pink bouquet by Clementine Botanical Art included peonies, cappuccino roses, scabiosa, chocolate lace, tulips, bunny tail grass, novelty ruscus, phlox, and butterfly ranunculus.
And how sweet are all the littles of the wedding party?! Just wait till you see them all walk down the aisle…
Their family and friends swooped in to help with a slew of amazing details, including this ceremony hoop and photo backdrop.
Hi, cuties! The flower girls walked in with little floral hoops the bride made from dried flowers and ribbons.
Celina explains, We were pretty particular when choosing our venue. We loved that it was not a super traditional space, and that it had room to customize and accommodate all of our personal touches. The greenhouses themselves were beautiful and allowed us to incorporate greenery and nature into our day. We also appreciated how intimate the venue felt. The house was perfect for our large extended family and wedding party to get ready and the layout of the grounds provided a nice flow for the events of the night.
See how many stunning spots this venue has for portraits and backdrops?!
The couple actually created and hand-painted tons of the reception details, like this seating chart and the bar signage.
With our wedding style we tried to blend our eclectic tastes and incorporate organic and minimal florals and textures. We put a lot of thought into how we wanted the day to look and feel. We wanted it to be romantic, ethereal, whimsical, organic, and fun. We loved incorporating artistic elements that we both enjoy such as sculptural floral pieces, minimal and vintage elements like custom backdrops and lounge furniture, and a carefully selected DJ who spun retro hits on vinyl along with the rest of our favorites. As a homage to our love of dancing and having fun we had an installation of disco balls hanging above our dance floor.
Best wedding tent design ever!
And we love these pretty floral wedding cakes by Iced Cakes & Confections.
Such a beautiful, simple place setting idea.
Anyone here looking for a good summer-to-fall palette? So gorg!
Our a-listers Dart Collective made sure everyone had a fabulous time on the dance floor.
