You all saw the darling lake engagement we had up on the blog the other day, yeah? Well today’s engagement shoot that the talented Carlie Statsky sent our way also involves a spring picnic and a few vintage details sprinkled throughout a totally gorgeous setting. But instead of the lake and Vancouver mountains, these two chose a breathtaking hillside meadow to channel the vintage Anthropologie-vibe bride-to-be Phuong dreamed of for her + Bao. (And with an Anthro style e-sesh, we can only imagine the romantic wedding design to come!)

His J. Crew + her Alice + Olivia ensemble are just darling together, if you ask us.

Props to Mimi & Taylor on the sweetest tousled fishtail braid ever. Also, Phuong’s mother-in-law to be whipped up her bouquet.

Phuong tells it, The late afternoon sunlight of spring accentuated the essence of love to perfection. It emanated vibrantly through the rosemary fields, radiated from the meadow of wild flowers into thousands of lights and casted an angelic glow upon everything it touched. Needless to say, we were mesmerized. Along with that, we also learned a great deal about positioning and posing for the shot. From just a simple small gesture of the fingers to criss-crossing of the feet, we felt like models in an Anthropologie spring catalogue. Without Carlie’s guidance and enthusiastic humor, we probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much as we did. We are happy to have these beautiful photos to look back on for years to come.
Congratulations guys! What a spot to celebrate.
