Um, how insanely gorg is this for a ceremony backdrop? It pretty much sums up Ivy + Benson’s romantic day: light ‘n airy and fuuuull of summery details captured by Daniel Kim, like a farm-to-table meal and an outdoor photo booth, to name a few. Take a peek!

This bouquet. Le sigh. It had midnight moon dahlias, lavender scabiosa, clematis, astrantia, eucalyptus, and smilax.

We are both adventurous and love exploring nature. Our first visit going to Radonich Ranch gave us just that feeling… As we drove through the woods, we found ourselves at this calming, secluded, quiet place. It’s simple, yet there are so many details everywhere that you spend all day there without knowing. The farmhouse, the water fountain in the pond, the willow trees by the ceremony, were all the elements we were looking for. We love the venue and thought it was perfect because its original and unique. After we met with the event coordinator Marky Carr from the ranch, she told me that the menu for the day will be whatever is available at the local farmers market. The farm to table idea is definitely the moment we are sure this was THE place where we want our wedding to be.

After being so busy throughout the wedding planning process, their first look was their fave moment… All the stress melted away! From that point on, they decided to drop any worries and just enjoy themselves. So sweet.

Friends made limoncello with lemons from their tree as favors to enjoy during the hot weather.

Ivy says, Our family friend Jenny is specialized in baking traditional sponge cakes. We talked about a few different cake options but I went with my original idea to have a strawberry naked cake. We LOVE strawberries so we know just the place to get them: our favorite vendor in the S.F ferry building carries these juicy, sweet, and delicious strawberries from Watsonville which is not far away from Santa Cruz. We went to pick out the strawberries a couple days before the wedding and delivered to Jenny.

They also had a tea ceremony, and instead of wearing a traditional Chinese red dress, she borrowed a Pakistani party dress from her bridesmaid. That way, she got to wear something unique but equally beautifully! See photos in the gallery:
