Anyone have a romantic evening of wine, cheese, and flowers planned for Valentine’s Day? Add a little Italian flare and the prettiest peonies and we’ve got ourselves the recipe for swoon-worthy spring nuptials. That’s what the team at Foudamour had in mind when they styled this shoot with real couple Eli + Isaac at Stonehaven the Manor in Quebec. They kicked things off with the dreamiest paper suite by Papier Velours and calligrapher Neilson Letters. Not to mention the ring…
As a wedding planner, my favorite thing when I meet a couple for the first time is hearing the story of how they met. I love those improbable tales, those happy coincidences, those perfect synchronicities that make two strangers cross paths and fall in love.
Behind this romantic styled shoot, the imaginary story of one of those magical encounters: two people traveling alone in Italy meet at the same time in a small artisanal cheese factory where they learn the basics of making Parmigiano and end up telling each other all about their life around a bottle of wine and a platter of charcuterie… I wanted to imagine what the wedding of this couple, with a “cheesy” love story, would look like and when I discovered the magnificent gardens of Stonehaven le Manoir, located in Sainte-Agathe in the Laurentians, I knew that I had found my little corner of Italy in Quebec! Proof that by looking carefully, we can always find a wedding venue that takes us elsewhere … without even having to travel!
PEONIES!!!
How fun is this cheese-themed seating chart by Vingt-Quatre-Zéro-Un? Everything is so elegant and detailed, yet playful too.
And a wedding cake adorned in peonies?! Proof that spring is on its way!
