This shoot is so cute guys. Shelli + David wanted to celebrate their 5 year wedding anniversary with a nod to their world travels and shared love for the movie Up. And what better way to combine the two than a hot air balloon adventure? They enlisted Capital Society for the design + Sarah Price Photography document their day, which was full of color and fun backdrops.
Such a sweet handpainted globe from Collectivity Lane, right? David + Shelli actually went on a cross-country road trip together just three months into dating, and have traveled all over ever since, so the adventure concept totally fit.
A few words from the team at Capital Society… The day was topped off with a romantic golden-hour hot air balloon ride. With the guidance of Delmarva Balloon Rides Shelli and David were able to help set up the colorful giant and photographer Sarah Price stole of few moments of them dancing around inside. After the balloon was inflated, our adventurous couple climbed into the basket and set off into the air just as the sun was setting capturing all our imaginations and hearts.
Highway to Hill created a floral crown to go with Shelli’s vintage inspired look.Shelli says, The movie Up really resonates with us. Our personalities are definitely very similar to the characters from the movie and watching shy/quiet Carl meet and fall in love with loud/free-spirited Ellie pulls on our heart strings every time. They dream of going on this great adventure, but life keeps getting in the way and before you know it, you are sobbing hysterically at the same part in the movie every time. Every time! It’s a reminder to us to be grateful for finding each other, to be grateful for the adventures we’ve already shared, and to always make time for more.
Happy 5 years you two!
