A whimsical tropical wedding in London

We love it when we can kick the week off with a wedding that is just over-the-top fun, and this one is IT. With lush foliage, a jungle-inspired color palette accented by “hot cayenne” and “vivid yellow”, and lots of abstract Kandinsky influences, Susie of Knot & Pop totally pulled off the couple’s adventurous style. Thanks to Yellow Bird Photography for sharing the photos below!

Had to see that bold Palais bouquet again.

On the theme, Susie of Knot & Pop tells it, We love when a couple really dares to do things differently and from the get-go our couple wanted to go against the grain to have an imaginative and memorable day. With them wanting to focus on foliage, rather than having things too overtly floral, we focused the concept on jungle and combined with their love of jazz, the design fused together to form a Jazz In The Jungle wedding.

The details in their wedding are incredible, right? Susie says, We introduced a title font that drew on this aspect with an artist commissioned to create a bespoke font that used a mix of shapes, and stationery suite, that was then animated for the save the date. This hero font was then used across all on the day aspects, including the bespoke signage. The shapes then reappeared as custom made table numbers–from planetary circles to crescent moons and more.

Certainly makes a case for more greenery versus floral, dontcha think?

You obviously can’t skip the gallery with this one… See more below!

Rather than the expected dancing after dinner, the couple wanted a more relaxed evening so we created a jazz lounge with all manner of entertainment acts—having enjoyed a balloon artist and face painter on the boat drinks reception, guests were treated to a roaming magician and artist through dinner, with a jungle juggler and a whisky bar to mirror the groom’s Scottish heritage, opening up after the jungle feast. A photo booth, jazz band and LED light dance finale completed the entertainment aspects. Bringing in their love of food, and art, the caterer was briefed to be creative with presentation to mirror Kandinsky artwork and give guests more of an immersive experience… The couple ended their evening with a speed boat down the Thames as their guests cheered and waved them off on their honeymoon.

Cheers to Nellie + Andrew!
