Happy Monday, Cakies! Nothing like a good beach wedding to get the week started off right. Photog Danielle of The Poffs sent over Nicole + Sheldon’s Bel Air Bay Club nuptials and we’re smitten with the blush + blue color palette they chose. Nicole’s love of the color aqua combined with seaside touches the gals at Details Darling helped them incorporate created a whimsical but formal atmosphere for them to tie the knot. Just wait till you see the oceanside ceremony…
Nicole was inspired by the Hayley Paige ‘Gale’ dress after seeing it online, but since it wasn’t released yet, she went to try on similar styles. 30+ dresses later, nothing compared. So she went with her gut and waited for it to arrive at JLM. Once it did, she was sold, and it came just in time!
The bride explains, As a wedding photographer I have been to many weddings and already had a mental notebook full of ideas! I knew the colors and style I wanted but did not know what venue. Our top requirements for a venue was a beautiful view, an outside ceremony with an inside reception, and room for a band that could play until midnight. We stumbled across the Bel Air Bay Club and instantly fell in love. We set up an appointment and the second we drove up to the property, we knew it was the place for our black tie wedding. Sheldon and I love to dress up and go out so we wanted our guests to dress to the nines and go outside their normal outfits.
Knowing that the flowers would complement the blush + teal blue color palette, Becky of Haute Blossoms Floral created a floral arch and bouquets full of pinks and coral tones, and everything in between.
The bridal bouquet featured coral charm peonies, garden roses, poppies, ranunculus, blushing bride protea, pearl acacia, and eucalyptus.
The sea glass place cards didn’t just tie the seaside theme together, the aqua, coral, and white colors represented the meals that each guest was having. So there was no need to create graphics for chicken, veggies, etc!

Throughout the whole planning process, my mom was there to help create my vision. She was incredible and came to every meeting and helped keep an organized binder and spreadsheet of all the costs, contracts, and guest information. For any bride getting married, I highly suggest keeping a binder to keep track of everything so that your head isn’t spinning when someone asks you a question.
Cheers, you two!
