Guys, we’ve got such an inspiring wedding for ya on this Memorial Day. Alexis + Dom’s biggest goal for their wedding was to stay true to themselves and keep the energy happy and fun, all while making their guests feel welcomed and loved. Right down to choosing their color palette (deep pinks and blues, an amaze combo you’ll see below), they asked themselves which hues made them feel happiest. Add in countless thoughtful DIYs (A taught herself macramé, so impressive!) and the dreamy effect of Let’s Frolic Together‘s images, and you’ve got one spectacular celebration.
You know us, always down for a peony bridal bouquet…
A + D found Let’s Frolic Together and their dream team of vendors here on 100LC!
The bridesmaids all wore Reformation dresses in different styles in prints. Aren’t they gorg?!
Alexis explains, The reason I fell in love with this Rue de Seine dress is because it reminded me so much of the beautiful linens of my mom’s that I used at the wedding. It totally worked with the overall vibe and I felt amazing in it… My mother passed away a few years ago, and while I knew she would be joining in from above, I also wanted to feel her spirit throughout the wedding. I used her antique white lace linens and placemats on all of the tables and had a picture of her from her wedding day in my bouquet. We also used pieces from my family home. Her style and design have influenced my taste as well, and I wanted that to be felt by all in attendance.
Isn’t this macrame seating chart incredible? See more of their DIYs below:
• The macramé seating chart made by Alexis + her dad with calligraphy by Samantha Louise Designs and styling by Kimberly of The Dainty Lion.
• Alexis created macramé garlands and Kimberly created the carnation strands
• Shibori bunting and cocktail napkins
• The bride also painted the indigo place cards, and she + her dad made the table numbers
• A friend created the wooden triangles for photos at the place settings
Our decision to go with Jasmine of Let’s Frolic Together was one of the best and easiest we made for the entire planning process. We had to select a lot of vendors from where we live in NYC despite the wedding being in San Diego. We talked to a few photographers over email, but Jasmine was the only one who wanted to set up a Facetime call. She asked a lot of questions about our relationship and why the wedding was important to us. She made us feel so comfortable with her, and we loved spending time with her during our engagement session. Jasmine should also consider becoming a life coach because she made us feel so wonderful about ourselves. Throughout our engagement, she was always willing to jump on the phone with me to talk through any questions and helped me immensely in managing my own stress. Beyond her professionalism and organization, Jasmine is incredibly talented and captures beautiful, candid moments.
More peonies, please.
