There are so many ways to go about a Palm Springs wedding. So many. What we loved most about Kelsey and Sean’s wedding as planned + styled by Amorology is how they took their organic, romantic style, and put it right up against the striking desert landscape and lush grounds at La Quinta Resort. Couple that with the most ethereal of images by Luna de Mare and we’ve got a true dream destination wedding for these two and their 150 guests.
Loving our Maid of Honor’s bold, red Reformation dress!
Kelsey + Sean wanted their day to not only be really unique and memorable in the design, but also reflect their many travels and complement the earthy desert setting.
Heather of Amorology says, Our bride Kelsey loved ancient Egyptian history and leopard print which inspired our concept of Paper & Stone. In a palette of burgundy, plums, emerald and dusty pinks, we brought a modern bohemian vibe to the desert with Egyptian touches. The ceremony was given a beautiful focal point with a geometric brass arch, custom created by Folklore and adorned with florals and pampas grass from The Dainty Lion. Following the ceremony, friends and family left their mark at the sign-in table where they chose from a stack of “open when” envelopes to leave their advice in that the couple could later open when “they need a laugh” or “have their first fight”.
Under the “find your spot” backdrop, guests looked for their names on laser cut individual leopard escort cards calligraphed by Twinkle & Toast.
Amorology made sure the place settings sparkled under the greenery chandeliers created by The Dainty Lion.
After dinner, guests got to sample from the dessert table as well as find their favors underneath a sign displaying the quote “perfectly and incandescently happy”—Pride and Prejudice is the bride’s all time fave—amongst another custom backdrop from Back Up Backdrops. On the table were the prettiest candles from Anthropologie for guests to choose from.
Fave memories from our bride…
The ceremony. Our ceremony was officiated by one of our oldest friends whom we grew up with and has seen our relationship grow from friends to where we are today. He was able to bring his own memories of us to the ceremony that made it so personal and special. He had us both laughing and crying!
Seeing the reception and ceremony areas for the first time. We were able to see the ceremony and reception areas before guests arrived. After months of planning, seeing everything come together and how much it went above and beyond our expectations was so much more emotional than I thought it would be.
Our first look. I know everyone says that but seeing Sean get emotional and the energy of the moment is something that can only be experienced and not described. I highly recommend doing one and having that private moment!
Cheers, you two!
