Georgia has always been fascinated by magic, and when she met Marc, that feeling only grew. So for the wedding they wanted to create a sacred space full of fairytale energy that their fam + friends could share in too. They enlisted an epic team to help bring their vision to life, with planning by La Boheme Event Planning, design from Jesi Haack Design, JL Designs in charge of florals, and Scott Clark to document the whole thing. What could be better?
Georgia wanted her ten bridesmaids to resemble fairies. So pretty!
Hallie of La Boheme Event Planning created this dream fairytale setting so guests would have the feeling of walking through a forest and stumbling upon an enchanted party. She says, Since the event took place in a wide open lawn, we brought in 75+ bushes and trees to create our forest (not to mention hundreds of ferns for our forest floor), and had A Rental Connection build tiered guest seating to create more of an intimate space surrounded by lush greens.
They let their team of vendors really run with the fairyland theme, with stilt walkers (second stilt walker in a week here on 100LC, actually!), fire dancers, and fortune tellers.
Magical indeed!
Jesi of Jesi Haack Design says, We added our quirk by donning the tables with soft white fur placemats. And to keep it real with our dark magic vibe, we melted berry colored candles over lush wood stained candle holders. The guests were able to get their fortune read in our fortune teller tent. Each guest took home a tiny velvet spell bag filled with magical goodies. We made a fairyland forest of trees on stage and accented it with twinkle lights and oversized 3d origami stars.
On the ceremony…
Georgia tells it: Our ceremony was an actual handfasting, an ancient Pagan tradition where our officiant bound our hands (and hearts and souls) together with a beautiful ribbon. And at the end we released monarch butterflies, to symbolize this new journey that we are on together. What our vendors did for us was take my vision and spew it out on our canvas.
