Kati + Kevin’s nuptials at Dunham Farms in Georgia were so gorgy that we’re pretty sure even if that 90% chance of rain that the photogs at The Happy Bloom + Gray Harper Event Maker mentioned had put a damper on their day, it wouldn’t have mattered one bit. Luckily, it was sunny as could be for them + their 65 guests, and the whole celebration looked magical:
From the The Happy Bloom, Our favorite part of the day was watching the first look. The sun was warm. The Spanish moss swayed above the couple. The light was to die for. And Kevin was speechless when he saw his soon-to-be wife. It was easily our favorite first look to date.
Andrea of Gray Harper Event Maker introduced them to their venue after they had toured a few Savannah venues. It hadn’t been on their radar since Dunham Farms is about 40 minutes from downtown, but boy are they glad they went to take a peek! From there, they worked with Andrea for a year and a half to plan the big day.
Kati says, We first hired Andrea with more than a year to spare before our date. This extra time allowed my husband and I to enjoy the planning process, although, I’m sure everything would have gone smoothly either way with Andrea’s expertise. The week prior we were faced with daunting weather decisions but decided to roll the dice anyways. On the day of everything could not have gone better. The Happy Bloom captured our day beautifully, the food was impeccable (so we’re told 😉 – no really, it was), our live string quartet was classical and timeless, and the DJ was playing great tunes all night. All the vendors we worked with were just absolutely incredible and it made for a day we could never forget.
So love the bistro lights twinkling in the background!

Let’s end on the proposal, shall we?
Kati’s story, All dressed up in heels and business attire I arrived home with a note on the outside of the door. I wasn’t really alarmed at that point, Kevin likes to leave love notes around from time to time. I started reading a poem he had written preparing me in his own way for what I was about to walk in on. I opened the door to see flower petals, streamers, candles, and more notes everywhere. It was so beautiful; there was a path of petals leading me around our apartment with different stories of times we’ve shared together. When I got to the final clue upon entering the bedroom, where Kevin was, my note card said “press play” on the laptop. A song started and it was playing “Marry Me” by Train. At that point I lost it. I opened the bedroom door to find Kevin placed at the end of a pathway lite with candles. The words from there on where a blur, seemed like he was speaking a foreign language until I see him get on one knee and say, “Will you marry me, Kati?” WHAT?!?! I squealed, “YES! Did you ask my dad?! YES!”
