What do you get when a photographer + magician get married? If you were one of the 190 guests at Jillian + Justin’s ranch wedding, you got to dine al fresco in Malibu, to take in the 360 views at Rancho Del Cielo, and did we mention the surprise magic show slash first dance for entertainment? And yeah, there’s pretty fantastic photos of the whole thing to prove it—thanks to Jill’s talented photog friend Frances Iacuzzi Photography.
Gotta hand it to Twig And Twine on this bouquet!
Jillian says, We didn’t have a specific color scheme, but there were a lot of natural hues (raw wood, succulents, feathers, soft pinks, gold, oranges and blues). We wanted our wedding to feel like our home, where everything sort of flows with the outdoor landscape and complements the natural beauty of southern California. We saw Rancho Del Cielo and got the feeling that it was right immediately. It was all outdoor with 360 views of Malibu and the Pacific Ocean, but the venue itself was unpretentious and full of character. It was the perfect mix of breathtaking natural beauty and attention to detail.
For their first dance, they orchestrated a surprise magic trick where the bride puts a spell on the groom…
…The crowd clearly loved it!
Incredible, huh? Kudos to Frances Iacuzzi Photography on these captures. You can see the whole first dance here.
They also shared their couples’ history in their very own rendition of Drunk History with their guests at the rehearsal dinner. So fun!
Cheers, J + J!
