Morning, friends! We’ve got way too much goodness to pack into one post, so we’re just going to jump right in. Sometimes the toughest thing for a couple planning can be visualizing how to take a space and transform it according to their vision. Well, some of our very fave vendor pals in the Los Angeles wedding scene—the guys behind YEAH! Rentals, The Flashdance, and Shark Pig—just unveiled their incredible new venue, Office Party, and hooked up with Branch & Cole to transform it for a wedding. It made for a wonderful excuse to hook up with all their oldest wedding friends and make magic happen once again, and we all got to see what all the crazy talented vendors they work with can do for their couples.
As the photos by Tyler Branch & Logan Cole prove, it really was one magical eve.
Brian of Shark Pig tells it, Office Party is a rentable event space (party) as well as the headquarters for several different companies (office). Those companies, The Flashdance, Shark Pig, and Yeah! Rentals all came up together in the wedding business but have branched out into other areas over the last ten years. Wedding Party was our chance to reveal our new building that we’d worked so hard to complete, and of course the best way to do that was by having some of our favorite vendors come do their thing in the space.
Safe to say we’re more than a little obsessed with all the tabletop goodies borrowedBLU brought to the scene as styled by Benjamin Holtrop.
And the cocktails by Pharmacie… Don’t get us started on the cocktails.
We had cocktail hour and the ceremony in the garden, then came inside for a full dinner complete with fake wedding toasts and a dance party afterward. It was just a wonderfully entertaining time because many of the vendors at Wedding Party were the actual original heads of those companies. For instance, Shark Pig used to just be Brian, and The Flashdance used to just be Michael. Now Brian and Michael don’t usually work weddings themselves because both of those companies have grown into teams of people. But at Wedding Party, we got to see all those friends and colleagues who we came up with. And it’s nuts to see how much they’ve all grown too. Steve from Room Forty was able to come down the street from The Fig House and provide an entire hot catered meal. That’s wild!
The saturated, monochrome bouquet by our gal Of The Flowers was to die for.
We got to see Office Party fully transformed into this stylish wedding space. When we built Office Party, we were very strict about keeping the place neutral. It’s against our nature in a way to resist hanging up big pieces of art, or painting walls bold colors or making some kind of a statement. But we did that for a very important reason: Office Party is ready for events of any kind. Watching the transformation happen was so validating because what you see in the photos and video is this very brightly colored, not neutral vibe at all.
Their couple had already had their real wedding, so this one was a faux ceremony that went through all of the events a real wedding would have: officiated ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, amazing dinner, party, and of course tons of decor.
It really is so neat to see a space come to life, all from a vision of a couple and their vendor team.
Found came and totally decked out the garden space with rugs and lounges. Shine Lighting took the tall white brick walls of the interior into a glowing vibrant dinner and dance party space. Of course we had Yeah! Rentals furniture, a Flashdance DJ, a Shark Pig Weddings videographer all on site. With Branch & Cole doing the event styling and photography, it all came together in a really fun way and we’re really proud to have everyone’s help showing off our new building. Each vendor contributed in a really excellent fashion.

We hope this will be a place where the lives of creative people of all kinds can intersect. If Wedding Party is any indication of the caliber of events we can host at Office Party, I’d say we’re off to a great start. And seriously thank you so much to all the vendors involved. We understand the value of your services, and we’re floored by your generosity and creativity.
Srsly, Cakies, you’ll want to check out each and every link below. They all make incredible weddings happen each and every day and we’re super excited to see all that comes out of Office Party.
