Houston friends, we may have just found your new fave local wedding venue: The Meekermark in Magnolia. Heather + Paige of Epoch Co styled a colorful garden wedding (with allll the peonies!) at their open air chapel and historic barn setting. Plus, Urban Rubbish has the peony bouquet recipe, and Shannon of Century Tree Productions captured tons of shots of this one of a kind venue:
Um, how cool is this modern, freestanding open air chapel? It’s got 30′ soaring white arches and floating glare less windows in a beautiful wooded area on the property. SO COOL!
From an open air chapel with floating windows to an indoor reception space built incorporating a reconstructed 1830s barn—there is so much this custom venue offers that you won’t find anywhere else in Texas! Eclectic and bold, matched with vibrant colors makes our hearts sing with joy, and we hope the design below makes your heart soar, while inspiring bride-to-be readers to add pops of color on their wedding day!
Love and Lace out of Navasota, Texas is who we teamed up with to bring you two gorgeous dress options. With the Royal Wedding just passing, we couldn’t help but fall in love with minimal and modern wedding dress “Heaven” by Oksana Mukha—a Ukranian wedding dress designer. The front lace detailing and disguised pockets are absolutely fantastic! It is a great option for the traditional bride looking for a unique twist without it being over the top. For our completely non-traditional dress, we chose the off-the-shoulder stunner, “Roxanne” by Eddy K. This dress is so fun! From the unique sleeves, decadent lace detailing, and dramatic sweetheart neckline, it is sure to impress!
And the bouquet recipe for all you peony-obsessed brides-to-be… Peonies, David Austin Juliet Roses, Cappuccino Roses, Yarrow, Billy Balls, Spirea, Chocolate Queen Anne’s Lace, Nigella, Lilac, Mock Orange, Silver Dollar Eucalyptus, Eleagnus
For the table, Heather and Paige incorporated handmade places by Eliana Bernard, gauzy napkins they dyed themselves, and modern black flatware arranged in two different ways:
We believe in keeping your place settings clean and simple—if you want to add in some funky colors or textures, opt to do so in the goblets or napkins. We chose to keep the goblets classic with a clear color option, the plates a subtle millennial pink and added texture through the gauzy napkins. To change it up a bit, we opted to do non-traditional design by off-setting the plates, angling the delicately draped napkin and placing both flatware on the right side (blade in of course!).
They also dip-dyed the edges of their gauzy table runner using a mixture of turmeric and yellow onion peels to create the peach tone. Genius!
