People and relationships are everything to me. I’m the kind of person who values the deep conversations you have on road trips and loves the process of getting to know new people. Coming from an academic background, and being married to an engineer, I know two things: foundations are important, and your support system is everything. Building relationships with the people who will capture the most precious beginnings of your life should reflect that. You should feel valued and important. The best stories are told by people who know them and one of my favorite elements of being a wedding photographer is getting to know people’s stories.
I grew up in New Hampshire but my family owned a sailboat in Rhode Island and that’s where I spent a lot of my weekends. It seems fitting now because I've settled down with my family outside of Mystic, Connecticut and raising two little ones on the coast is so special. New England has my heart and holds many of my childhood stories, but it was the trips near & far that sparked my love of travel. No matter what transportation is required - wheels, wings, tracks, or sail - chances are pretty good I’ll be up for the trek, especially if there’s a love story waiting to be captured.
I’ve endured great loss and been part of great love, and it’s these truths that fuel my passion for wedding photography. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed with our loved ones so I want to be sure to create photographs and prints that allow you to be fully present and celebrate the beauty of today - for all of your tomorrows. Photography has always been a passion of mine and I cherish the perspective viewing life through a lens can give you and the way it forces me to pause and observe.
